Oak Sleeper Deck Project
Set in a woodland garden, this great flowerbed has been created to feature drifts of long blooming perennials, which can be left as seedheads through the winter months too.
During the clearances and development, I have creatively evolved the space to include a central woodchip log edged path, taking you from a stumpery seating area and hazel coppice, to a statement large oak deck..
This was hard work to build, but completely worth it. Natural materials blend in to the surrounding landscape, but varied textures make this a stand out feature. Log piles, dry stone stacking, and large 3 metre oak sleepers.
I'm looking forward to planting up the bed through this season! Follow my posts this year to see the progress.
