Being A Chew Valley Sustainable Gardener

Gardening in the Chew Valley means working in harmony with the land. For me, sustainability is at the core of every project — from improving soil health and reusing materials, to selecting plants that suit the local climate and support wildlife.

A sustainable garden isn’t just low-maintenance, it’s resilient. It grows stronger over time, needs fewer inputs, and gives back more — whether that’s food, flowers, or habitats for pollinators. My role as a gardener here is to guide that process, helping each outdoor space become more self-sufficient, balanced, and rewarding year after year.
