August 2026 - Wildlife Gardens and Landscaping Projects
Several photos above of plants still looking great despite the droughts of summer. It’s been interesting to see which plants have really stood up to the dry conditions.
The no-dig approach of regularly top-dressing beds with manure and woodchip is always a big help too — improving soil structure, moisture retention and the overall health of the soil.
Meanwhile, landscaping projects are also progressing around the Chew Valley: gravel gardens and retaining sleeper construction in Regil, circular paving in Bishop Sutton, and decking renovations in Chewton Mendip.
